Obwohl die Nutzung von sozialen Medien in der Landschaftsplanungspraxis noch recht neu ist, gewinnen Social-Media-Daten und deren Nutzung im Rahmen der forschenden Landschaftsplanung zunehmend an Bedeutung. Es besteht die Erwartung, dass die in den sozialen Medien von Nutzern bereitgestellten Daten Informationen liefern, die bisher in aufwändigen Beteiligungsprozessen erhoben werden mussten. Ein großes Potenzial liegt insbesondere in der enormen Menge an verfügbaren Fotografien, geographischen Informationen und Textelementen wie Beschreibungen und Kommentaren, die im Rahmen einer landschaftsplanerischen Bewertung der Landschaft genutzt werden können. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es daher, intersubjektive Aussagen über die Wahrnehmung der Landschaft in Bezug auf einen bestimmten Raum zu generieren. Qualitative Methoden werden zur Auswertung von Fotografien, textlichen und geografischen Daten aus sozialen Medien kombiniert, wodurch Erkenntnisse über die Wahrnehmung von Landschaften erlangt und für landschaftsplanerische Analysen aufbereitet werden können. Der Autor Lucas Kaußen absolvierte das Studium der Landschaftsarchitektur und Umweltplanung an der Technischen Hochschule OWL als Master of Science. Mittlerweile ist er am Fachbereich Landschaftsarchitektur und Umweltplanung der Technischen Hochschule OWL als Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben im Bereich GIS und Digitalisierung tätig.

The seas and oceans are currently taking centre stage in academic study and public consciousness. From the plastics littering our seas, to the role of climate change on ocean currents from unequal access of marine resources to the treacherous experiences of seafarers who keep our global economy afloat; now is a crucial time to examine how we live with the sea. This ambitious book brings together an interdisciplinary and international cohort of contributors from within and　beyond　academia. It offers a range and diversity of insights unlike previous collections. An ‘oceanic turn’ is taking place, with a burgeoning of academic work that takes seriously the place of seas and oceans in understanding socio-cultural and political life, past and present. Yet, there is a significant gap concerning the ways in which we engage with seas and oceans, with a will to enliven action and evoke change. The Second Edition of this book is completely revised and updated throughout providing an overview of current challenges faced within the area of Agri-food in relation to policymaking, ecological conservation and socio-environmental justice. Antonio Augusto Rossotto Ioris is reader in human geography and director of the M.Sc. in Environment and Development at the School of Geography and Planning, Cardiff University. Associate editor of the journal Progress in Development Studies and author of, among others, the books “Agribusiness and the Neoliberal Food System in Brazil: Frontiers and Fissures of Agro-neoliberalism” (2017), “Frontier Making in the Amazon: Economic, Political and Socioecological Conversion” (2020) and “Kaiowcide: Living through the Guarani-Kaiowa Genocide” (2021). He edited “Agriculture, Environment and Development: International Perspectives on Water, Land and Politics”, published in 2016. Bernardo Mançano Fernandes is professor of the Graduate Programme in Geography and of the Graduate Programme in Territorial Development in Latin America the Caribbean, São Paulo State University (UNESP), and holder of the UNESCO Chair in Territorial Development and Education for the Countryside. He is CNPq Research Productivity Fellow and leader of the discipline of Geography at FAPESP. .

This book shows how regional cooperation and integration have increased massively in scale and scope in recent years, as developing countries seek new ways to shield themselves from economic turbulence and to kick-start their economies in the face of stagnant global demand. The trend is partly a defense mechanism against the limitations of the international financial system, but also reflects a wider search for new and different growth paths more appropriate with developing countries increasing economic and political voice. As a consequence, the landscape of financial and monetary mechanisms has changed dramatically, especially in the ten years since the economic crisis of 20072008.
